Upcoming loli/shota ban and timeline

Upcoming loli/shota ban and timeline

We’ve decided that for the site’s future safety and to help us better sleep at night, we will be banning loli/shota and related content going forward. But we want to make this transition smooth for everyone, so we will be following the below phase out timeline.

Reiterating our criteria

  • Visuals that have clearly prepubescent proportions, features, and/or scenario will not be allowed
  • Exceptions for anything that’s clearly exaggerated (eg. adult character drawn in a chibi art style)
  • However, given the nature of fiction, there will always be edge cases. Ultimately moderators will use their discretion and have final say.
  • If you’re uncertain, DM a mod and ask

Ban of new topics - July 6

No new topics with these tags or content will be allowed starting on this date. If you see anyone violating these rules, please flag the topic.

Automated removal of existing topics with the loli/shota tags - approx 2 months afterwards

In a future month, we will run an automated script to remove all of the tags that have the loli or shota tags. However, we’ll have to create and test the script, so I don’t want to guarantee an exact date right now.

Request for community effort to untag anything that passes criteria

There are likely some old topics that have the loli/shota tags but would pass our criteria and avoid removal.

  • If so and you are the script creator, please edit your topics to remove the tags before the removal date.
  • If you are a user trust level 3 and 4, you can also edit other user’s topic tags.

For creators who want to check which of their posts have loli/shota tag here is a humble link that should show them to you:
Search results for 'tags:loli,shota in:created order:latest_topic' - EroScripts
Of course, it won’t show posts that are not tagged or wrongly tagged so keep that in mind.

Well, even though I am certain that this decision is final, (I know you got your reasons) I just want to say I’m not a fan and that it heavily restricts freedom of expression which is never a good thing if u ask me…

I don’t like the loli stuff so I dont watch it, but I just browsed through some videos that had the loli tag and I think a lot of stuff that maybe shows a loli once in the video will get caught in the crossfire. This is mainly pertaining to HMVs where they have multiple different girls in the video or maybe a full hentai episode

At this point I agree it’s for the best. As someone who lives in a state which takes these things relatively seriously even if it’s drawn or cgi art, I worry a small amount every time I see a post in those catagories. I know I can block it but I rather enjoy reading the discussions even on posts I don’t consume.

I know some people live in lax law regions but when there’s a grey area and so many people who may live in that area I think, once again, it’s for the best. The punishments for these things can be extreme even when it comes to seemly victimless crimes and might be tacked on as further evidence during unrelated cases if discovered on a pc.

I support the mods logic here and I was wondering how long the site would last if it wasn’t banned and removed soon. Smart move especially with the growth potential on the horizon for these devices. Who knows what kind of further moderation might be needed if ES had 100k users daily.

I’ll be removing my one shota posting so get it while its hot boys lol. It had some easy copy and paste scripting anyway, not a big loss for me but I do feel a smidge of bad for some friends here who have put an enormous amount of time into their catalog only to have a large percentage of it removed soon. Way she goes boys.

Definitely not a fan. Taking this kind of stance always hampers the community and leads to frustration.
However, if you are receiving threats and facing possible take downs I can understand, as certain companies are trying to enforce their own morals as laws.
I can only hope that that it stops at this, and we dont continue to lose content due to inability for people to seperate reality from fiction.

Oh shieeet…

Well, at least it will be automatically removed… So less work for me…

I guess it’s time to make a Fantia account for loli/shota scripts?

I will release a Loli/Shota archive soon so people can get all the scripts that I made.
It will be open for a week before all of them gets banned.

Yeah I don’t think this is for the future of the site, I’m pretty sure this is personal bias and that is VERY bad. This is just another one of those “loli pedophilia and is bad and should be banned.”

I support this decision and policy. Thank you mods.

I am of the opinion that censorship is always a net negative. Unfortunately, the credit card companies are aggressively pursuing pornography in general. Any excuse is enough. It’s reasonable to expect EroScripts would be unable to pay its hosting bill or renew the domain name registration in the future if this content is not removed.

If you want to speak out about this issue, write to Mastercard and Visa. It likely won’t help - and your name will go on a few watchlists - but that’s who is really to blame.

It’s frustrating the views of a few individuals make such an impact.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I gotta say…for me…I support the decision and policy. I’m not hating on anyone who enjoys the content, but it wasn’t for me.

This is restrictive, and against freedom of expression. Loli-Shota can mean a lot of different things, and when it’s fantasy or drawings, it’s not real. This sort of stance is personal bias towards the category and not a good look for the future of the site.

A better way to do something like this is make it an opt-in option rather than something someone will see just signing up to the site. It wouldn’t be something most people would even realize, if this is truly for the safety of the site. Default-Off, Must go to settings to enable.

I agree. I loathe censorship……unless it is ABSOLUTELY the right call.
But then…they (not the mods) might start coming for girls like me…and that would def affect me. I mean I’m already public enemy #1….soooo…that sucks.

I’m frankly surprised the moderators didn’t pull the band-aid off and ban realistic (CGI) beastiality content at the same time. That’s almost as likely to earn the ire of the credit card companies as loli and shota content.
