I believe it’s following the rational of that it’s best to just outright say nope instead of go halfway and then have to go outright nope later down the line or not even have the chance to do so. Similar to why torrent stuff is just outright nope.
I’m guessing though as I’m just a user like yourself saying my interpretation on what I’ve understood that’s been said along with past policy stuff.
That’s stupid and makes no sense. What if an actor is acting as a underage person? There’s literally JAV videos on this website with adult women acting as loli characters. No one in a cartoon can give consent. They don’t exist.

I’ll reiterate what I said before: Now is the time to look for alternatives rather than bemoan the team’s decision.
Yeah the Staff isn’t going to reverse the ban, they’ve made that clear, at most they might further clarify the criteria but they’re trying to keep the site running rather than have it die by being too lax.

This site currently directly links to a bunch of pirated scenes. It’d be an even less of a direct connection than that.
Those links I can only presume have been determined to not be of risk compared to these specific ones.
Again this is my interpretation of what I’ve seen/read, being that strictly nope, not allowed on here anymore, no ifs, ands or buts. If you want to shift this then you can only message the staff about it I presume.
I recognize the council has made a decision, but given that it’s a stupid-ass seemingly hasty decision, I’ve elected to ignore critique in the currently open discussion thread on the topic.
Seemingly throwing away a bunch of work people have done because of a rule change feels wrong. Especially when said work are fancy csv files that don’t fit the criteria of the banned material on their own.

There are two things happening in this thread:
- users focusing on what this decision means for funscripters and the safety of the site and its staff given its hosting situation/architecture.
- users debating their own opinions of the content in question, outside of the site staff decision.
What would be more productive for other people here is what forward path to take given the current circumstances. I’ve given an alternative here, and site staff and users here can continue having discussions on how to handle things.

I’m not going to have an intellectually dishonest debate about the morality of characters being depicted as children in sexual situations.
If you feel strongly about wanting to see/interact with that content for your pleasure, you can now do so elsewhere.

There is no actual argument. Just vibes about drawings somehow rising to the level of unethical if it depicts X or Y. Crazy line of thinking that is sadly unsurprising.
But whether or not its ethical doesn’t really matter to the context of the thread. I’m more concerned about a ton of work (that itself doesn’t fit the criteria) seemingly getting deleted. I guess we need a thread pointing users towards HMV Mania’s forums somewhere prominent instead.
