Upcoming loli/shota ban and timeline

Wasn’t it Legal in the US, though? As far as I know, it is not that simple in US Law. I’ve heard a lot of different things, like if it is not near reality, it is fine, but I’m not an Expert on US Law.

It is not real hate, it is a point we came up in the last big Discussion on Lolicon that because traffic increases and more people come, we would have to ban everything that is not normal/disturbing for the normi User. So this is just to highlight what consequences it has to ban just “one” Tag. It is maybe just the beginning of more strict rules and bans like Bestiality. Even though those are just some f*** CGI horses, come on, how can one not tell that it is not real man.But just my opinion.

I don’t feel it’s JUST avoiding a ban, either. I mean, cmon……like none of us really know each other….
The mods probably, MOST LIKELY have a life they can’t and WON’T risk for content they agreed upon is potentially problematic, not only problematic but involving legal issues.
NO ONE HERE IS GOING TO SCREAM ABOUT THEIR AVERSION TO CENSORSHIP if/when they are facing losing EVERYTHING in life they’ve worked for, been fortunate enough to achieve, worked hard to maintain. “Nope! I refuse to bend, to break on this! Sorry, kids. Sorry, wife, husband, SO. Sorry, boss. I’m taking a stand and you’re the casualty in my ensuring content is available to a bunch of randos on a stroke site! You’ll understand!”
But I might be wrong……maybe someone will be a porn martyr….
In the end, I support the mods……whether I agree or disagree.

its not federally illegal but can be illegal state wise

Well, I would certainly hope that by the removal of loli/shota content, these creators would take the decision to publish here. I expect more content in the future to replace the ones lost. More scripts = good!

Okay, I said that as a joke, but you can’t expect me not to get my hopes up of more creators coming here now that you’ve brought this up.

I think its worth noting here that the legality of lolicon at the US federal level is not as cut and dried as some are making it here. I’m no lawyer, so this is largely hearsay, but it appears that lolicon that is deemed obscene per the community standards of the Miller Test could be illegal under US federal law.

The legality or illegality of the content in question is only one facet. As I said before above, the enforcement of this is coming from the credit card companies, who have been on a crusade to shut down a variety of pornographic content online.

  • The PornHub mass deletion? Credit card companies were the cause.
  • OnlyFans content dust-up a year or two back? Credit card companies.
  • Mega and other file sharing sites removing content? Credit card companies.
  • Patreon, Gumroad, and others banning porn? Credit card companies.

While EroScripts does not take money directly, Patreon, the web hosting provider and domain name registrar do. Those entities could be pressured to refuse to renew the domain name registration or stop hosting the site. Even if the credit card companies don’t get involved, Patreon, hosting providers, and domain registrars have dropped customers when they disagree with the content.

There is no appeal - this site would just be gone one day. As someone who very much enjoys this site and appreciates the staff who run it, this change makes sense to protect themselves and the site from being taken down. Being mad at the admins and moderators is ignoring the reality of the circumstances.

That said, I do think realistic CGI depictions of bestiality should also be removed. Not because I hate the content or dislike the people who enjoy it, but because it’s something that is likely to cause problems with these same companies.

I feel like I need to bring this up, seeing as some are thinking of migrating to another platform.

Fantia and Pixiv, two sites used by other scripters, are limited in their payment options. Yep, the cause is credit card companies too. However, instead of bowing down to the corpos, both sites decided to just drop Western credit card providers.

Mastercard and Visa currently aren’t accepted there. To use a credit card, one has to have either American Express or JCB. Of course, there are always ways to circumvent, but it requires some more research and elbow grease.

Just sharing something that I feel should be considered.

An additional notes on Fantia as they were quite ridiculous on censorship. You are not allowed to:

  • Link content that are uncensored.

  • Use the video’s image as thumbnail, even if you obfuscate it.

  • Reference free links of paid video.

Fantia can wipe your fanclub without prior warning.

To all of you comparing the reasons because of credit card companies, the site only accepts donation in crypto. There are many crypto only web hosting & domain companies, including ones who ignore DMCA.

The issue with pornhub and onlyfans is that there was REAL underage content on them, which made people go after the credit card companies to take action which had a global repercussions. Not to mention at some point pornhub required all videos to be uploaded by a verified account.

Patreon has always been like this including taking action based on off-site activates and taking random actions based on what they feel. Gumroad says “In accordance with the policies of our payment processing partners, including Stripe and PayPal, we do not allow sales of the sexually explicit content.”

There will always be someone offended and find another target once they have eliminated their previous issue. (offended twitter users are not real people)
Just the other month there was a few takedowns of peoples mega accounts who uploaded loli content to them, clearly there is some offended twitter user in action.

None of what you say changes the fact that linking to loli/shota videos and hosting related funscripts puts a larger target on EroScripts’ back. Whether you think that’s significant or not, it is the site admins who are at risk. It is reasonable they make the decision to allow - or disallow - the content they are comfortable with.

As for OnlyFans, they were tightening their content policies to comply with the credit card companies’ guidelines on explicit content. This was after the BBC published an article (link below) that called OnlyFans’ moderation policies into question. Underage content wasn’t mentioned but other questionable and illegal activities - including prostitution - were brought up.

OnlyFans: How it handles illegal sex videos - BBC investigation

He says he has found illegal and extreme content in videos - including bestiality involving dogs and the use of spy cams, guns, knives and drugs. Some material is not actively searched for by moderators as frequently as he believes it should be, says Christof, despite being banned under the platform’s terms of service.

One creator’s profile described them as an “[e]scort - sex partner”. A different account asked: “Anyone want to book me for a weekend?” Only two of the accounts we found had been removed 10 days later.

Why OnlyFans ditched sexually explicit content: credit card companies | CNN Business

OnlyFans said its decision was driven with a view toward building a sustainable platform for the long term. “These changes are to comply with the requests of our banking partners and payout providers,” it added.

After this story initially ran, OnlyFans CEO Tim Stokely blamed banks such as Bank of New York Mellon for the company’s decision. In an interview with the Financial Times, Stokely said BNY Mellon had blocked payments from OnlyFans to its creators and accused banking giant JP Morgan of shutting down accounts of sex workers or “any business that supports sex workers.” BNY Mellon and JP Morgan declined to comment.

Why is OnlyFans letting financial companies lure it away from porn? (yahoo.com)

The decision was made in order “to comply with the requests of our banking partners and payout providers,” an OnlyFans spokesperson wrote by email.

The change marks a growing trend where financial services firms such as credit card and payment processors effectively decide what content is allowed or prohibited on internet platforms. For creators who depend on internet platforms for their income, especially adult performers, the sudden change represents a cautionary tale as the gatekeepers of the creator economy take shape.

Yeah, dunno what this is supposed to really do for anyone.

“future safety” of the site? there’s nothing illegal on here, it’s drawn.

“better sleep at night?” again, drawings don’t have feelings, and no one who likes loli is going to be doing anything to real children. that’s not how that works.

gotta say, this is a braindead, kneejerk reaction to people who get real children confused with drawings. Needless to say, I disapprove of nonsensical restrictions on free speech.

Will we ban furry stuff next? I’d argue thinking about animals is worse than about children. oh gosh, I just can’t sleep at night thinking about all those people fantasizing about porking my cat, oh no, whatever will I do?

they use them because that’s the first thing they think of. One of the closest comparisons to Eroscripts is Loverslab (game adult modding community) who as well had their loli/shota exodus a few years back. Personally, its nothing I’m too surprised about, and I completely understand why a site would have to ultimately do it unless its fully funded independently with their own hosts in a country that doesn’t restrict said content and not having to outsource it externally.

While its content i seldomly consume, completely understand the situation. Itll just go the same path as the loli/shota communities of game modding did and more or less create a seperate forum to host said content.

Reminder they aren’t real.

There is no REAL “llegal and extreme content in videos - including bestiality involving dogs and the use of spy cams, guns, knives and drugs.”, no ““[e]scort - sex partner””, “sex workers”, or “adult performers”; There is no sort of payout going to these people though this platform. These points with these real porn examples and comparing them to 2d aren’t comparable, you aren’t paying for access nor is someone getting paid out.

There is really no risk to the site unless they are using a host like godaddy for their domain and hosting. There has been basically no examples of this happening due to loli/shota content other than very rarely when people cry to cloudflare sending them 9999 emails and 9999 tweets.

Anyways it’s up to the admins to make their rules, it’s not like we have a say in it or not.

I knew that eventually this day would come, just not so fast, who knows if i will be able to post the scripts i wanted to post before the deadline?

I will probably make a thread and edit it until the ban finally comes.

I’m not the person that consumes the most sane ficticious content out there, and while it’s ficition i do understand the lack of appeal and rage due to it, i’m not one of those persons that believes that art and realitiy can be separated completely but i do believe one can live a sane life being involved unhinged fictional content like for example ShindoL.

Sadly the western world is just not fond of lolisho content in general, while i did belive this site was more of a jack of all trades seems like it wont be the case anymore, and more after payment procesors issue this rules, probably the general public world will be almost totally cleaned of this content in the future.

Rip all scripts.

I will probably be making a thread on ATFallen for those who know.

I personally would not mind if loli/shota was banned from this site. If one wants that kind of content, one can always find it elsewhere. No great loss for me.

True this just mean that eventually all piracy will be banned too, and what would be the point in using this site ?

OtterSpace @ 1.62%

I made sizable mark after all :eyes:

If anyone’s interested in reasons why someone might think people should avoid indulging in fictional representation of unethical sex acts, I would recommend this video

Duchess Celestia video about loli/shota is a good video on the reasons this content can hurt people, however still the wolrd isn’t perfect and grey, there is people with normals life consuming or that had consumed this content, however bad actor will always exist, and the mind can’t really be policed.

This looks to be getting away from the original site decision which was already stated wasn’t about personal taste, but about risk mitigation: Upcoming loli/shota ban and timeline - #66 by hugecat

For current scripters that have content tagged in these categories, put together an archive of what you have on here that falls under it, and I can set you up with an account for HMV Mania forums.

If the content isn’t going to be here, that decision can be respected with an alternative place/path forward.
