Rampofoxxx shared this method a while back and it works great for creating a copy of the video file with metadata injected into the new file to play in 2d on VLC. The same “injected” file can still be used on a VR headset (Quest 2). You can use the mouse to pan and zoom around the file in place of moving your head in the headset.
