Handy bluetooth is on the to-do list, but I’m currently working on other things at the moment, so I’m not sure when I’ll get around to adding it yet.
I must be blind. I have Heresphere v0.11.2, but I don’t see anywhere in User Settings to enter my Handy connection key nor a “Synchronized Periphals” toggle.
Edit: Ahhhh, nevermind found it. Looks like it’s been moved to a small, unnamed icon, in the bottom left corner of the playback menu instead of being in the User Settings as described in the first post. Might be worth updating the instructions in your first post.
I’m having a very minor problem, but it’s consistently a little annoying. I’m sure the solution is somewhere in adjusting the playback settings, but I don’t know what I’m doing there so I’m hoping someone can help me.
The problem I’m having is that every time I pause the video and then click play again, the video kind of stutters and then pauses almost immediately. Both the script and the audio will play normally, but the video will remain static for several seconds. As I said, it’s a little thing, but it’s consistently annoying.
Im also running into some stutter/buffer issues here and now, when pausing/skipping the videos.
Can’t really pinpoint where the issue lies. Could be the headset, the internet, the server or the app itself, who knows.
But restarting the headset seems to be the only thing that consistently works, for me at least.
I’d recommend restarting all your devices (headset, computer, router) and see if the issue persists.
@HereSphere do you guys support “deeplinking”? ie. Devo has deovr://<info>
. Basically a “Open with HereSphere” type feature.
Is there any way to pin the video in front of you so that video moves with your head
Not yet. Would this be for the web browser? And just for the PC version or also Quest standalone?
Yes, in the user settings, under the projection controls group, enable the “Drag rotation acts as toggle” and “Drag rotation with head” options. When you press the trigger (which is bound to the drag rotation keybinding), the video will lock with your head. Press the trigger again to release the lock.
PC and yes for browser streaming or filesystem(stash, maybe add some security checks that the user needs to whitelist folder paths that won’t get blocked by a “Open file from file system” request)
Thank you. Another question. For the multiple video option, is there a way to make the videos mirrors of each other?
There currently isn’t a way to mirror flat screen videos, but I’ll add it to the to-do list.
The issue of the video freezing after I pause and then click play goes back at least several updates. Just to be absolutely certain though I’ve restarted my router multiple times in the last two weeks. I already shutdown my headset and computer after use. I’m still having the issue without any improvement.
For additional information, this isn’t happening with just select videos or videos that are especially large. From what I can tell, this is happening with any and all of them. The videos all start from the beginning fine too without any buffering, stuttering, or significant delay.
How are you accessing your files? SMB, XBVR, local, streaming? Does the issue occur with all file locations? Which headset are you using, and which Quest OS version? And approximately how long do you have to pause the video, before the pause issue occurs? If you don’t mind backing up your data in the HereSphere user settings, then uninstalling the app, to see if a fresh app install helps. Then see if reloading the saved data causes the issue to occur again. Thanks.
I access my files over SMB. I have an SMB share on two computers with one of those computers directly connected to my router. The issue remains when accessing files from either of those computers.
I’m using a Quest 2 headset with the latest update (v68). When I first posted about the issue I was on v67. I can’t say when the issue started and what version my headset was on at the time because it’s not a huge issue it’s just somewhat annoying. When it first started I probably just thought I was having a buffering, wifi, or bitrate issue. I know that the issue goes back multiple OS updates and multiple Heresphere updates.
Pausing and then quickly unpausing seems to be okay. The video has to be paused at least five seconds, and sometimes closer to ten seconds, for the issue to occur.
After uninstalling and reinstalling the app, I saw no change in the behavior either before or after reloading the data.
Are there plans to add Kiiroo Power Blow support?
Yeah, it’s on the to-do list. Need to wait until after the Unreal Engine 5 update to refactor the synchronized peripherals system to support multiple devices at the same time.
I’ve been using Heresphere for locally stored files and it’s been great! Any suggestions for paid sites that are worth getting a membership to AND work with Heresphere AND also work with an SR6/OSR2? I see that SLR doesn’t play nicely with heresphere…
I was using Heresphere with the Handy and XBVR till now.
But I’ve purchased an OSR2+ and use it with Multifunplayer and XBVR now, everything works fine. The only thing missing is the heatmap on the timeline in Heresphere, seems logic because it is MFP that plays the script and not Heresphere, but is there a workaround to still see the heatmap on the timeline ? Thx !
I’ve been meaning to ask this same question.
I can create my own heatmaps with ffmpeg, and they get stored as a png file right next to my video and funscript with the exact same name. Would it be possible for a future version of Heresphere to grab the png file and display it in the heatmap window whenever it loads a video of the same name?
