Intiface Central, Your Body, and You

Holy script-o-saurus…that is just pain I feel from that. I’m sorry for what you have gone through with this, those of us whom have coded slightly salute your persistence. Thank you for the update.

What are folks using instead of Intiface?

Honestly, if something has a direct OSR-2/SR-6 interface, the rule is to use that instead of Intiface. My software is made to support everything, which means we’re 99% vibrators, 0.99% strokers, and some vanishing decimal point of things like the OSR-2/SR-6. We can support motion on those (and do things like linear movement and what not), but Intiface usually won’t be nearly the fidelity of something built to handle all of the different axes and options.

That’s a great explanation. Thanks!

Meanwhile for modding/external programs to do OSR2/SR6 stuff there isn’t a general replacement to Intiface game wise (that I know of) as since these devices are so niche stuff need to be built to be highly customizable to enable someone to mod in support (Virt-a-mate is the only example I can think of although VaM has been a pain to set limits for me) or you need to make a specific alteration or make a program built with it in mind or directed at it. (Multifunplayer is the go to I think for video playing and this game mod which was done via funscript player)

I’ve not had my SR6 for even half a year yet so I’m not experienced at all with it compared to others here.

I do not see an option for adding serial devices to intiface central on MacOS, is that expected?

It’s a bit hidden

  • Turn on advanced settings in the server settings panel
  • Turn on serial port manager
  • Click on the devices tab and scroll to the bottom

Hmm I don’t see Serial Port manager

Version 3.0 seems to now support Handy 2 (Pro) bluetooth natively.

Yup, it does! Please, please let me know if you run into any issues with 3, we actually ran a 2 month beta period with it but got like no feedback, so I’m still basically firing this off without knowing what we might’ve broken in what was basically an 85% rewrite. Tests pass but our system is complex enough and we deal with enough real world interaction that those don’t catch everything.

BTW hoping to finally drop an “easily add your OSR-2/SR-6/SSR-1 w/ whatever custom shit you have on it” builder for our UI sometime in the next 2-3 versions. Buttplug v10/IC v3 release was blocking a TON of stuff that I can now move on to.

There’s another thread that a couple people have been contributing to that might be of interest to add to the intiface/buttplug.io project. We’ve been talking about how to bridge Lovense API with intiface or something that allows for OSR2 devices since Lovense is such a closed ecosystem. There’s been some progress with that in LR_Spoofer, in case your interested in seeing if that can be incorperated somehow.
