Let's set a community standard for tolerated content

I think this is one of the first valid criticism I’ve seen in this thread that I think everyone can agree on.

I support harder rules about tag use, and potentially forcing ALL threads to have at least one tag. Being SURPRISED by content you don’t want to see is just bad for every side of this argument.

Also, while I wont be chiming in on the debate, I’d just like to say that while people are very passionate on both sides, this discussion has been much more polite than the other million times this had been debated everywhere on the internet. I’m proud of the community for that. Thank you all for keeping things civil and rational.

To me this sounds more like a thing that should be asked upon the first login. As that way you can make people select the tags easier and get preferences more adjusted. It also sets a focus on which tags are basicly mandatory if they can be applied. And for those tags, since there is a tag limit, i would make them not count toward it (as those tags can push other tags away).

And about the category loli. I have it in the ignore list. But to ban the content… i dont think it will work as easily. Anime is often enough already at the border of what can be accepted, and since its drawn, its easy to state a character is 18 even if they look like 15. Demanding those to have the loli tag is as far as you should go on here.

Now if we have such login wizard, the loli tag can also be part of it. The only issue ofcourse is how to describe it. Since the word underaged can be a serious legal issue in any description you give it. But wording wise i think it has to go something along the lines of: “of which the appearance might be underaged, even though they arent. Many of these characters originate from anime.”. The first part states the risk, the 2nd one makes clear what limit it is, and the 3rd part states on why they are accepted. Making it an impossible task to monitor, except for excessive cases.

The only problem i now still have is that i have some prefer tags and some ignore tags, yet i cannot set the order of importance, so loli video still end up in the feed due to the other tags. But on that, maybe this is something you could send to discourse as an issue/suggestion. As this site is definitely not the only one with similar issues.
(and as a suggestion to describe the feature better: soft and hard ignore: soft = display only if other tags match, hard = never display even if other tags match)

Even if it only allows you to set the order of the current setting groups site wide, making the hide setting the one that goes above all would still be better than how it goes now.

I was not going to add more, since my bias would make my opinions less helpful, but I did want to make a couple points that haven’t been brought up yet.

Small explanation for bias, skip if you don’t care:
I, like many here am a sex toy enthusiast first and foremost. I have scripted a wide range of fetish content because I find it fascinating, even If I don’t share the fetish. Roughly half of my catalogue of scripts would be banned under the proposed rule change (Loli, MLP, Drug use…). As far as script creators go, that may put me in a different viewpoint from some others because, I would not leave the site or abandon the community if it chooses to embrace censorship. I would be sad, yes, but I think supporting the growth of the sex toy industry is important enough that I would keep scripting even under the new rules.

A point that hasn’t been discussed here much is the technical aspect of what we actually have here on the site. Funscripts are metadata. They describe the action in another piece of media in a cold, mechanical way. They may not even do that, in the case of music-based scripts. To my knowledge, it’s not illegal ANYWHERE to provide a factual description of a piece of media, regardless of it’s content. The issue of legality then comes down to the OTHER files posted here for convenience, namely screenshots/previews and links to the relevant media. I know that eroscripts does allow video to be directly added to a post in some cases, but I personally feel that the liability involved in that is not worth it, and no videos should be hosted here at all.

So, given the nature of scripts, I’d like to know from the people who support the ban, would you still object to a post that contained a loli-related funscript, but which had no preview images or direct links to the media?

It’s a bit of an academic argument, but I think it’s an important one. The heart of this site is the funscripts, not the media the funscripts are linked to. My personal (biased, see above) option to satisfy the most people would be to require that ALL preview images be censored to some extent, similar to sites like pixiv. Give people enough to judge the content and make their own choices without being fully exposed to it. Also, only allow a very limited subset of file types to be uploaded here, maybe just preview images, funscripts, and mp3s (for estim). I think those changes would make the site a little more annoying for everyone, but would be a good compromise. Anyone who objects to the actual media can then focus their efforts on sites that are hosting it instead of here.

There is a diffirence of content that is a standalone description (like a summary) or content that has the intention to interact (for example a game which requires a certain book). In the 2nd case even if the game is sold standalone, if it clearly states intention to be combined, it falls under the same copyright laws for example.

Even metadata itself can be an issue, as we know with google and facebook. They dont even need to read everything directly, they only need metadata to do most of their stuff. You send a message to X and Y, oh and it contained words A,B,C and D. Thats all they need to know. It might be post metadata, but its intention clearly makes it more than ‘just’ metadata. It makes the data itself subject to legal things.

That’s an interesting point. I’m relatively well read on the laws of my country, but I’m not a legal expert so I cannot be definitive. What I have seen suggests that independently-produced documents about a piece of media, say a book meant to be read alongside a movie, are not automatically subject to identical legal restrictions as their parent media, unless the produced item direct contains the same type of material. I have no citation for this, so I could be completely wrong, or the rules may be different between our countries.

I’m curious how you feel about music-based scripts for HMV/PMV videos. To be clear, this is not some “gotcha”, I’m genuinely asking. If the script is made to the beat of the music, and is unrelated to the imagery, but is paired with a video that uses that music alongside objectionable imagery, Is the script itself objectionable and worthy of being removed?

My personal feeling, outside of the legality issue, is that banning anything designed with the “intention to interact” with a piece of banned media could be a difficult line to draw. That’s not a valid argument against your point, but I’m not sure how I would personally make that distinction in a way that can be applied universally. A toy that moves in time with a video clearly fits in your definition, but would an story meant to be read in between episodes of a loli series that describes the non-sexual day-to-day lives of the characters count? That’s getting pretty far off the topic, sorry, but I enjoy rules and systems, so trying to find a definition that accomplished what you intended without causing other problems is fun for me.

Unrelated to SononeRandom’s post, another point briefly mentioned in my first post, but deserving mentioning explicitly is that another category would almost certainly need to be included in the ban if it goes into effect: Drug use.

It’s not as prevalent as loli, perhaps, but there are numerous scripts here that are based on media promoting drug use, including Poppers, Weed, and Alcohol. Those subjects are illegal in many places, including the UK where the OP lives. I don’t want to add fire to the debate, but since this thread is discussing what content should be tolerated, it’s important to get a full listing subjects that may require removal under the proposed rule change.

You leave the community… if you don’t like that I can’t stand loli. I don’t really care if the claim is it is fake and cgi and the character is “said” to be 10000000000000000 years old. That’s just stupid.

It’s like people that claim a girl is age of consent so it’s ok for me to fuck her when I’m 35… it is factually sick

Legal boundary is: Is the child affected or not? Is he drawing real children with photo accuracy thus infringing their privacy? It’s CP. Is it not good enough drawing to infringe on their privacy? Not CP. Is it drawing with no real children in a mile radius? Not a CP.

Otherwise, here’s some CP for you. “:o<==3” this is 3yo girl sucking a dick. To the best of my drawing ability, alas. Bam, you’ve just watched CP, you dirty pervert. Go to the nearest police station and turn yourself in.

The way I see it people fall into one of three camps.

These that think loli is CP and should be banned

Those that think it’s not and there is nothing wrong with it

Those that don’t particually like loli stuff but dont believe in censorship.

Personally I fall into the third group. Once people start censoring stuff because they find it distasteful they rarely stop. Trying to impose your will on an international community where there are cultural differences in what is and isn’t allowed is also a mistake in my opinion. I think the sensible suggestions to make this content opt in is a fair compromise and would hope this will finally draw a line under the issue.

I’ve never understood the loli is cp argument, i have never cared for loli/shota stuff… but to compare it to actual cp is insane to me.

o|-< There… i just drew a character, they are underage and nude, have i just commited a crime and you just looked at cp? Ofcourse not, it’s just a damn stick figure, so does talent and skill transform it somehow? Does that mean we are now basing legality of a thing on the subjective skill of the creator? Who makes that judgement call?

There are PLENTY of things on this site and others that i dont care for, but trying to censor it based on my subjective likes or dislikes? No, that’s not reasonable.

Ban or move the following content to its own “weird shit” section:
Animated porn
CGI/3d porn
Furry porn
Gay porn (male on male)
Fat chick porn
Loli/kiddie porn
Edit to add: censored asian porn (WTF? Why are you watching censored porn?)

Ya public education and dyslexia fucked me so tbh literally don’t know how to use a comma lmao rip

Im no expert but I’m pretty shur shoving LGBTQ+ porn in a “weird porn” category is a hate crime and all because you are to lazy to click 2 buttons also other porn sights don’t have CGI bbw and gay porn blocked by default so why should eroscripts I mean to make a person who is homophobic and fat phobic happy lmao why would we want a garbage person who doesn’t want people to be happy to be happy in our community I was on your side almost but you lost me with the random homophobia and fat phobia so please just stop no one likes you and you are not going to win your way you pice of crap : )

There is definitely some topics in this community that are bordering on being simulated CP.

I wouldn’t expect any change regardless. The people who run this place seem to be “part of the problem”.

Because a good amount of us do not like western porn, JAV girls are top tier, good story-lines, actresses are respected a whole lot more.

What does this have to do with anything???

This topic is going so far left, it’s turning in to everyone complaining about what they aren’t in to.

Just blacklist the stuff you do not want to see and move on

Bit of a tirade, I do agree when creating an account there should be a questionnaire to tailor new user feeds. Moderate users know of the mute feature. Veteran RTS users are tolerant of the standard.

I’ve taken some time going through profiles and looking at users activities, what they read, comment, like, view, and overall indulge in. Besides finding out who can’t stop themselves from loading up this site daily. There are hypocrites, “I don’t consume or I don’t agree with, censor this” your history shows. People are contradicting their comments: BDSM, beta, censored, non con, rapeplay, drugplay, animations, ageplay, futa, zoophilia, incest, and watching other people masturbate using the handy, etc.". A lot of people are bullshitting where their debauchery tolerance stands. Regardless of where you’re located or whatever moral standard you believe you have. Transparently by looking at users activities, there doesn’t seem to be an issue with the current tolerated standard of content.

The thing is that it if you go to the free script section it is super easy to accidentally click on loli content.
If you just stroll through eroscripts and dont instantly read all tags/ and cant see loli in the title it can surely happen to click on it.

That iwara stuff surely does not look like loli content at first glance. And the loli tag is right in the middle of it , making it even harder to see lol.
I suggest making loli the first tag for such stuff.
Also, if somebody is for example looking for multi axis it leads to kind of a tunnelvision maybe? Only seeing that one tag and clicking through stuff.

Also general question, where can i block tags?

Edit: found it its called muted not blocked in the settings

For those wondering how to mute (block / filter / blacklist) tags:

Thats not how the law works. Even if its an illustration, its still not allowed.

The problem mostly lies in realism: What is a realistic age to the character being displayed. A granny that is stated to be just 17y old is still fine as it simply doesnt represent a 17y old. In anything cgi animated age is effectively just a number, so cant realy be used. But there can be obvious cues to which the character was designed, and that can still involve an age.

Even in the sex doll business, age is considered. And this is why they say ‘barely legal’ at most of the designs. They are trying to get the girl looking as young as possible even though its a meaningless value as its design cannot represent age in most cases (the doll shape is generaly a fixed design, so its just the illustations that matter). But they are also aware that ‘tiny dolls’ are deliberately not going that same direction. They generaly aim towards an older age to avoid confusion (real dolls are often targeted to be more like 25 in age - partialy also because the average age of the purchaser is closer to that).

Loli is for that same reason a problem case. It tries to get the boundaries as close as possible to the lowest possible age. Yet storywise they cover it up by making the character older, just to cover it up. The only real reason its not banned is simply because the character is designed from scratch and not based upon someone. The moment its known that such character was based upon someone that was 17y old at the time, its instantly illegal in most countries. Thats how far it already goes to its limit.

Your emoji example on that just takes the diffirent route. Its based on a generic emoji shape (has no specific age and can range from 1 to 100 in age easily), yet you are making the story about a certain age. Imagination is the key aspect here. There is nothing preventing you in porn from watching someone of the age of 19, but imagining she is 15. Which is sitll legal to do! (and to be fair, this should remain legal. it would be a bad thing to make thoughts like this illegal as there is simply nothing that can be done against it. but luckily we are in a state where mind reading isnt possible. while you might think about a certain situation, as long as no one knows about it, you wont hurt anyone)

In your same example, if you animate a baby, and make it have sex, you can say whatever you want, but its clearly going to be illegal. And there is no argument you can use to cover that. Simply because you can be sure the base material was based upon a waaaay too low age. Even if noone got hurt, its illegal, and will remain that way.

This is not remotely true and you need to stop reiterating this point.
