đź“Ł [Announcement] EroScripts Community Event - End of Year 2024 - Theme Announcement

I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but for me it has been one very long and one very hot summer. Additionally, with all the great work we just saw during our 1st Annual Blast from the Past Event (42 outstanding new scripts!), it’s been a steamy few months in more ways than one!

Now it’s time that we prepare to enjoy the crisp chill of the fall air, get cozy with sweater weather, be thrilled and chilled by spooky season, bundle up as Jack Frost nips at our nose, reflect on where we’ve been, and celebrate new beginnings.

Join us in celebrating the cooling weather, the change in seasons, and the conclusion of humanity’s collective journey around the sun with our Two Part End of Year 2024 Community Event.

END OF YEAR EROSCRIPTS COMMUNITY EVENT 2024

The event will be a two part event taking place from October 1 to December 31. There will be a one month break during the month of November.

PART 1
Dates: October 1 - 31
Theme: Fall :fallen_leaf:

PART 2
Dates: December 1 - 31
Theme: Winter :snowflake:

SCORING SYSTEM
The judges will score each script individually on a scale of 1 to 5 with half points in between. All submitted scripts will then be averaged together for a singular final score. We’ve also provided the opportunity for participants to boost their score with a bonus as outlined further down just after the participation requirements.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
All are welcome and encouraged to participate especially new and first time scripters. There is however a two script minimum in order to be eligible for prizes. Two options for meeting this requirement are described below.

Option 1: Submit at least one script during Part 1 (October 1-31) and at least one script during Part 2 (December 1-31).

Option 2: Submit at least two scripts during Part 2 (December 1-31).

Please note that all scripts must be new scripts, as in never-before-seen-on-EroScripts scripts, and must be posted during the correct month of their theme.

Entries must also be posted in the free scripts category. All entries must include a source that is available to all members. With access to sites such Pornhub and SpankBang becoming more limited in certain regions, consider using a Mega, GoFile, or Pixeldrain link if possible although this is not required.

BONUS
If a participant submits at least one script during Part 1, their lowest scoring script will be dropped from their average for every three scripts they submit during the event.

Example 1: “Scripter A” submits a total of 3 scripts, but they only submit their scripts during Part 2. The individual scores of those scripts are 9, 15, and 18. Their final score for the event is 14.
Calculations: 9+15+18=42 ; 42/3=14

Example 2: “Scripter B” also submits a total of three scripts, but at least one of those scripts was submitted during Part 1. The individual scores of those scripts are 8, 16, and 17. Because “Scripter B” submitted at least one script during Part 1, and also submitted three scripts, their lowest scoring script (8) is dropped from their average. This gives them a final score of 16.5.
Calculations: 16+17=33 ; 33/2=16.5

Example 3: “Scripter C” submits a total of seven scripts over the course of the event with at least one of those scripts submitted during Part 1. The individual scores of their scripts are 7, 10, 12, 16, 16, 18, and 18. Because “Scripter C” submitted at least one script during Part 1, for every three scripts their lowest score will be dropped from their average. In this case, the two lowest scoring scripts will be dropped with those scores being 7 and 10. The remaining five scores are then averaged together which gives them a final score of 16.
Calculations: 12+16+16+18+18=80 ; 80/5=16

TIE BREAKERS
In the event of a first-place tie, those participants will be entered into a playoff round. They will then be given an entirely new theme and asked to submit one script within two weeks. The scoring system of the event will remain in place for the playoff round with points available 1 through 5 and half points in between. If necessary, this process will continue until a first-place winner is declared.

PRIZES
For our previous event, we had some fantastic prizes provided by some of our very generous and very talented fellow members. Well, we’re certainly not disappointing you with this event because each of our prize tiers just got a bit more bountiful!

Third Place :3rd_place_medal:
The third place winner will get the video of their choice (not exceeding 10 minutes) scripted by @Slibowitz. I know I may appear biased because I work with the guy on these community events, but I consider his work to be one of the gold standards in scripting. If you’re able to win yourself a Slibowitz script, you’re going home happy.
The third place winner will also receive a video of their choice upscaled by @Baxtyr.

Second Place :2nd_place_medal:
The second place winner will get the video of their choice (not exceeding 20 minutes) scripted by @Slibowitz.
The second place winner will also receive a 3D conversion of the video of their choice made by @JoePorno, and a 2D upscale of the video of their choice made by @hentaiprodigy69.

First Place :1st_place_medal:
The first place winner will receive a brand new, yet to be released to the general public, SR1 2.0, which includes a 360° twist module and a custom-made improved mounting solution provided by @renwoxing at FunOSR. If the winner, for whatever reason, desires an alternative to a brand new, yet to be released to the general public, SR1 2.0, which includes a 360° twist module and a custom-made improved mounting solution, then an alternative will be arranged by the good folks at FunOSR.

Now if you’ve been living under a rock here at EroScripts and don’t know what a FunSR1 (version 1.0) is, we’ve got a great review of the device here that will help you get it set up and will answer all of your questions including how to use it with ScriptPlayer, MultiFunPlayer, and even how to use it in VR with HereSphere.

JUDGES
@AlphaT2190
@Midevil
@Slibowitz
And your pal Burt of course!

IMPORTANT NOTE
Please feel free to comment, ask questions, discuss scenes and stars you would like to script or see scripted, but do NOT link your submissions in this post. This is only the announcement for this event’s themes. A post announcing the official start of the event, which is Part 1, will be made on October 1 and then Part 2 will begin on December 1. Entries must be linked in that post in order to qualify. Furthermore, and just to be very clear, only submit scripts for Part 1 during the month of October, and only submit scripts for Part 2 during the month of December. If you submit winter themed scripts during October, they will count towards the Part 1 event and will not score as well as they would if they were submitted during the Part 2 event.

Good luck and have fun everybody!

Hell yeah brother!

Credit to @Slibowitz for our awesome banner!

For all submissions, including it somewhere in your posts is not mandatory, but it is certainly appreciated.

Fall theme what kind of movie am I looking for? Brown leaves outside?

Great question! This is where you get the opportunity to wow us, and the rest of the community, with your creativity!

We’re not going to give you a checklist of safe and appropriate scene selections. However, if you’re having a hard time coming up with ideas for the event that takes place from October 1 to October 31 might I suggest re-reading the text of the announcement, take a look at the event banner, maybe you notice a shift in seasonal content on television, perhaps you come from a culture or live in a place that has a holiday during the month of October, maybe the models on PornHub start posting videos that look different than the ones they posted during the summer. You get to decide and show us what “Fall” means to you. This is where your personality and individuality comes into play, and believe it or not, you really do start seeing the personalities of individuals through their selections. It’s one of the most interesting things about these events.

Selections that capture the theme will score better, but just like any art show or contest of this nature, there are no wrong or right answers.

Keep in mind that if you participate in October, for every three scripts you submit over the course of the entire event, your lowest scoring script will be dropped from your average. This means that if you decide to be bold and choose something that seems a little risky and out on a limb, and for whatever reason it completely whiffs, it’s not the end of the world for your score. That one will just be dropped and it won’t come into play.

The important thing of course is to just have fun with it!

Well…I’m in. Can I get an extra supply of estrogen instead of the SR1? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Great! I’m very excited to see what you have for us!

You’ll have to work that out with FunOSR. Check out their store though because they’ve got all kinds of stuff.

Well damn it looked like they have everything.

If you win first prize, you could still collect the FunSR1 and then auction it or have it as a raffle prize on your patreon.

I will definitely take part in the event. I have a few videos in mind.
but don’t you think that the method of calculating the average score of all scripts may reduce the number of scripts submitted?

for example, a participant has an excellent video for which he plans to get a high score, and the second one is slightly worse. in this case, he will not write a script for the second one, since the average score will decrease

I will provide a brand new SR1 2.0, which includes a 360° twist module and a custom-made improved mounting solution

In the worst case, I can provide you with the corresponding amount for the device. Please rest assured that I will make sure you are satisfied. The prerequisite is that you can win the championship.

Wonderful! I’m very happy to see that you’ll be taking part.

Thank you for bringing this up. We’re always looking for ways to reward and motivate participants to submit lots of scripts. The truth is the overwhelming majority of participants are submitting only one script, a few submit two, and then there are one or two that go above and beyond that. So we’re experimenting with something different. We also want to provide motivation to participate in both events without making it a mandatory requirement. This is in case someone wants to participate but let’s say they joined the site in November. This is where the bonus comes in.

This event already requires participants to submit at least two scripts. Participants either submit two in December or one in December and also one in October. If you participate in October you’re eligible for the bonus. This means your lowest scoring script gets dropped from your average for every three scripts you submit. As I said, you’re already submitting two scripts. At this point it would be a good strategy to submit at least a third script to drop your lowest score. If you submit another three scripts, then the next lowest scoring script will be dropped. You can keep doing this as much as you want, and if all of your scripts are good, then after three and a half months you’ll be left with only the absolute bangers.

Keep in mind we won’t be releasing scores or feedback between Part 1 and Part 2, so participants will have no idea what their scores are. Scores and feedback will only be released at the very end of the event which will be after December 31.

Considering that a participant won’t know how their scripts are scoring until the event has concluded, it is in the participant’s best interest to do two things:

  1. Participate in Part 1 of the event during October in order to be eligible for the bonus.
  2. Submit as many good quality scripts as possible over the course of Part 1 and Part 2 to keep their average high and ensure that their weakest scripts are getting dropped from their score.

We also think this is a good way to support new scripters (which you are obviously not). It would greatly benefit a new or first time scripter to take the plunge and submit at least one script during Part 1 of the event. As anyone who’s tried to make a script can tell you, first scripts are extremely difficult, they’re never perfect, and sometimes they’re just not good. For a first time scripter, it would be a winning strategy to post at least one script in October, get some experience under their belt in November, and then post at least two scripts in December. This way their average at the conclusion of the event reflects the improvements they made since their first script in October.

Not sure I missed it, but is there any advantage for scripting longer scenes?

I am asking because I mostly only script VR videos (which take way longer than 2D) with most videos being at least 30 minutes to 50 minutes. Do all of the judges judge it as they would do with 2D stuff?

Would a Halloween video fit for Autumn? Otherwise I am not sure what is expected for an autumn video at all. Winter is a bit easier. Kinda dislike the theme stuff, cause there is lots of other unscripted stuff that doesn’t fit those themes at all. Just would like to join an event finally, but don’t want to put in 50 hours + of work if length and such aren’t taken into account.

You’re all TOO sweet. I’m totally kidding about the estrogen….:face_with_hand_over_mouth:
NOW if anyone has any extra (which is EXTREMELY doubtful here) they wanna toss my way……WELL……

AND…

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

Got it Halloween is in Autumn, we don’t have that here.

This is another great question, and I’m glad you asked it.

This is a difficult one to answer, and I’m sorry but it’s kind of a “yes, no, and maybe” kind of thing. Any kind of additional effort is always noticed. It’s also noticed when something is made with low effort. However, a thirty minute script is not going to get a higher score than a twenty minute script just by virtue of it being ten minutes longer. Now, is a thirty minute script going to get a higher score than a five minute script… maybe. I would hope so, but there are many other factors at play here. Sometimes scripting a long scene, a long video, or a long compilation can improve your score, but there’s no way for me to tell you how many points you’re going to get for it until I try it. I also absolutely can not speak for the other three judges and how they allot the points for their scores. The best I can do is to recommend taking a look at the winning scripts from our previous events. We’ve had three so far, and all with the same crew: February, Spring, and Summer. I also had the honor of being one of the judges for the Christmas/New Years event that @g90ak hosted last year so you could take a look at that too if you want. The alternative is to just jump in and try it. You’ll get some scores. You’ll get some feedback. Hopefully you’ll have some fun.

Another thing I want to say is that your score is not going to go up just because it’s a VR scene. I know that’s not exactly what you’re asking, but I do want to make sure that point is made.

I’m sorry you don’t like any of the themes we’ve hosted so far. Unfortunately we’re only able to do a few of these each year because they do take time, effort, and require a minimum of at least three months from start to finish. Hopefully we’ll get to a theme that speaks to you. We would love to have you participate.

Halloween? For the Fall theme? In October? Interesting. I look forward to seeing what you do with this.
